earlier this summer Pharrell Williams took to Instagram to tease the upcoming adidas NMD S1. the latest generation of the three Stripes’ legendary Nomad silhouette, it’s also the biggest re-design the model has ever received. With the official launch date looming closer and closer, we’re now taking our first look at the adidas NMD S1 “Friends & Family” – and it’s a stunner.

Painted in a clean “Aero Green” colourway, the “Friends & Family” edition is exclusive to adidas’ inner circle. featuring a stretchy sock-like Primeknit upper, the laterals and medials are decked out in monofilament mesh similar to the Yeezy boost 380. three stripe detailing shoots across the sidewalls, while thick 3M rope laces tie everything together.
Down below is where the magic happens. featuring an extra chunky boost midsole, this is housed within a see-through unit that’s as comfortable as it gets. To round it all off, the NMD’s outsole is made up of several Trefoil logos that’s bears a striking resemblance to the retro Marathon trainer, finalising the design.
