The sneaker world is still absolutely buzzing from the announcement of the Nike adapt Huarache. serving as the Beaverton-based brand’s newest auto-lacing sneaker, it’s based off the legendary Air Huarache that first made waves back in 1991, and continues to do so even today. With the release date looming closer and closer, let’s take our closest look yet!
Images courtesy of sneakerhead @fyk7, the Adapt Huarache is painted in a clean white and black colour scheme. Crafted from a broad range of materials including mesh, suede, and rubber, the futuristic shoe utilises FitAdapt technology to adjust the lacing system. This can be controlled on the shoe itself, or through a smartphone app that’s also Siri-enabled for added convenience. You’ll essentially be able to say “Hey Siri, tighten my laces.”; or “Hey Siri, release my shoes.”;, and your kicks will follow suit.

You can also change the LED lights on the sole of the shoe to whatever colour you want, and set lacing presets that will adapt to whatever you’re doing. In terms of branding, technical verbiage graces the leather tongue for a next-century aesthetic, while a small Swoosh hits the lateral side, finalising the look.
The future is here, and it’s arriving on September 13th. Hands down one of the most hyped sneakers of the year, the Nike Adapt Huarache ought to not be missed, so stay tuned for much more release info and updated sellers as it develops!
